A French Organ Feast - performed by Carlos Alberto Ibay

Location:  St. Andrew Church, Clifton, Virginia

Date:  February 12th 2023 at 4:00pm

The St. Andrew the Apostle Concert Series presents Carlos Alberto Ibay in a free concert on Sunday, February 12, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Road in Clifton, Virginia.

Mr. Ibay is a classically trained Filipino-American concert pianist, tenor, and organist from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. who has been blind since infancy. A unique and not-to-be missed talent, Mr Ibay has performed locally, across the United States and around the world.

Of all the national schools which comprise the organ’s literature, the contributions of France are among the most well-known and much-loved today.  Mr. Ibay’s French Organ Feast performance will include selections from such French composers as Gigout, Couperin, Franck, Gounod, Dupré and others.

Mr. Ibay will display his extraordinary talents on the St. Andrew Organ of the Holy Archangels. Installed in 2020 by the Peragallo Pipe Organ Company of Patterson, New Jersey, this magnificent instrument is of French Romantic design with three manuals, 51 ranks and 2,891 pipes. A meet-the-artist reception with light refreshments will follow Mr. Ibay’s performance in St. Andrew's parish hall.

While this is a free concert, please note that your donations help to make this event, and others like it, possible.  Donations will be gratefully accepted to benefit future events, either in person or in advance via our online giving page.
