Company History

Peragallo Organ Family Since 1918

The Peragallo Pipe Organ Company was founded in 1918 by John Peragallo, Sr., who developed his craft as an apprentice with the famous E.M. Skinner Organ Company. His son, John Peragallo, Jr., a member of the American Guild of Organists, joined the company in 1949 and further enhanced the business with a close "Father-Son" relationship starting a tradition that is now in its fourth generation. John Jr. served as President of Peragallo for many years and completed notable instruments at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson, NJ, St. Philip the Apostle Church in Saddle Brook, NJ, St. Peter Church in Belleville, NJ and from 1993 - 1997 oversaw the refurbishment and care of the famous Kilgen Organs at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.

Continuing this tradition, John III and Frank Peragallo now head the company and are joined by their sons, Anthony and John IV each using their unique talents to contribute to the legacy of this unique organization.

Recent times have brought the curatorship of Radio City Music Hall and Columbia University's St. Paul Chapel. Recent completions include new pipe organs for Ss. Craftsmanship & Commitment

The Peragallo firm is a family organization whose instruments reflect both the foundation of a deep-rooted dedication to old world craftsmanship and a commitment to the functional technology of today's digital society.

The firm has grown steadily and includes a staff of skilled, competent craftsmen with an excellent maintenance department. Factory trained mechanics are capable of handling any problem which might arise in tuning and servicing of organs.

Specialized personal voicing has been the credo of the Peragallo Organ Company throughout the years. All of our instruments are custom designed; built and installed with personal voicing by the Peragallo family. These factors accentuate the creation of fine pipe organs.

High quality and prompt, efficient servicing at all times accompanies all pipe organ installations. All of our new organs are guaranteed for a period of ten years against defects in workmanship and material. Our motto, "Quality and Performance" has been, and will remain, the basis of our prideful reputation.
